Pre-Op/PACU Nurse

Full-Time | Lander, WY

Minimum Requirements
  • At a minimum an RN degree
  • Wyoming RN License or Compact equivalent
  • ACLS Certification
  • 5+ years Pre-op / PACU experience
Job Description
  • Assesses patient's status within identified functional health patterns, i.e. management of health, growth and development, oxygenation, activity, etc.
  • Assesses family status as it impacts the patient.
  • Identifies, based on assessment data, appropriate nursing diagnosis or collaborative problems which can be addressed through nursing interventions. Makes nursing judgments based on findings.
  • Identifies learning needs through assessment of patient knowledge. Plans and coordinates teaching methods and content to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Plans care collaboratively with family/patient, physicians and other health care team members. Prioritizes and delegates to health care team appropriately.
  • Initiates an individualized nursing care plan and evaluates variances to expected course.
  • Interprets clinical findings and correlates with patient's condition. Identifies patient/family responses to treatment and continually evaluates effectiveness of care.
  • Revises the care plan based on evaluation of effectiveness in achieving outcomes.
  • Coordinates and assures completion of care as ordered by physicians and as planned in the nursing care plan.
  • Assumes responsibility/accountability for the plan of care.
  • Consults with physicians regularly regarding patient progress. Collaborates with the medical staff regarding appropriateness of daily and routine orders based on change in the patient's status.
  • Facilitates the smooth transition of care when a patient is transferred to procedure rooms.
  • Is knowledgeable of patient's status during entire length of stay on the patient care.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for achievement of identified patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates competence to provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for the patient populations admitted to the patient care unit/service line.
  • Demonstrates clinical skills necessary to support and assist attending physicians.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of events, activities and changes in policies and procedures affecting practice.
  • Ensures that care is delivered to assigned patients in accordance with medical orders and nursing standards and is documented in clinical records and on plans of care.
  • Manage the care postoperative in the recovery area.
  • Implement nursing interventions as necessary for the patient needs.
  • Individualize care, education and discharge planning in repose to the patient needs.
  • Coordinates and assures completion of care as ordered by physicians and as planned in the nursing care plan.

The Pre-op/PACU nurse is under the authority of the Director of Nursing.

Cath Lab/OR RN Circulator

Job Description

Responsible for assisting with adult patients and providing quality nursing care including assessing and managing patient care in the cath lab and operating room. 

Required to assist cardiologist in all aspects of cardiology and surgeons in the OR, including patient procedural prep, circulating, monitoring, recording parameters, etc. in accordance with policy and procedures.

The Cath Lab / OR RN Circulator is accountable to the Director of Nursing.

  • Completion of a certified surgical tech program;
  • 2 years’ experience; cath lab experience preferred
Job Description

Provides technical services under supervision and assists in the procedure room. 

Sets up procedure rooms.

Scrubs cases

Strips and cleans rooms after procedure.

Restocks, obtains supplies, answer phones.

Assist nurses and physicians as directed during procedures.

Assist with sterile processing as needed.

The Surg/Scrub Tech is accountable to the Director of Nursing.

Cath Lab Radiology Technician/Imaging Tech

Full-Time | Lander, WY

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Radiological Technologist License in the State of Wyoming
  • Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • 2+ years; Cath Lab/special procedures experience preferred
Job Description

The Cath Lab Radiology Technologist performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including but not limited to monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.  Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test; and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/ Vascular Cath Lab.  Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned.  Prepares equipment and supplies.  Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

The Imaging Technologist performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.  Registered in and/or performs studies in the following modalities:  Diagnostic radiology, ultrasound.

Performs other duties as assigned.

The Cath Lab Radiology Technologist is accountable to the Director of Nursing.

Environmental Services Associate

Job Description

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for cleaning all aspects of assigned areas to meet WWM standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment.

  • Clean all assigned areas, pre and post procedural areas, public areas, restrooms, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
  • Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms as assigned.
  • Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
  • Remove trash from all assigned areas.
  • Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
  • Performs other functions as required or assigned.

The Environmental Services Associate is accountable to the Director of Nursing.
